Passia

This series is a result of my residency in 2019 at the Pugin chapel in St Leonards on Sea. I was interested in producing a contemporary take on the Stations of the Cross. After several false starts, this series of collaged and painted mineral watercolours emerged. I work intuitively. It was only when I had finished the series that I realised there were 14 paintings conveying the emotion I had been seeking.
